Leonidas Dimitriou was born in Athens, in 1968.
After graduating from dental technicians’ school in 1986, he continued his studies at the department of Dental Technology at the Technological Educational Institution of Athens. He graduated in 1990.
He has attended many top dental seminars and courses in Greece and abroad and he was influenced particularly by the contact with Gerald Ubassy in 1997.
Owner of the dental laboratory DENTECH since 1993, specializing in aesthetic and implant-supported restorations, and continues with the same passion to be trained in Greece and abroad following all the developments in dental field.
Since 2015 he collaborates with the Technological Educational Institute of Athens – department of dental technology- as a laboratory co-operator.
In 2015 his laboratory was chosen to be the cooperating laboratory for the practical training of the students to metal ceramics for the first semester of the Master of Science Degree in Dental Materials of Dental Technology (an operating program by the Departments of Dental Technology of the Technological Institution of Athens in conjunction with the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). Since November of 2015, when the Noritake Greek Study Club was established, he is an active member and speaker.
Since January of 2017, after training in Japan by H. Aoshima, K. Yamada and N. Yuasa he is an official Noritake instructor.
In 2018 he starts to collaborate with the University of West Attica - School of Biomedical Sciences - Department of Dental Technology teaching ceramics and fixed prosthodontics as a laboratory co-operator.
For the last years he organizes advanced courses demonstrating Noritake ceramic materials in cooperation with Aesthetic Team and he is also lecturing in conferences and seminars.
In September of 2019 he is scheduling to attend a complete circle of advanced seminars in teeth morphology and ceramics in Osaka Ceramic Training Center.
Today Leonidas Dimitriou is doing what he loves and loving what he is doing, he tries to mimic nature and learn from it having in mind that pleasure is a product that returns to you to the extent that you produce it.
